Tour Plan
Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, you’ll be welcomed by your local guide who will assist with your transfer to your accommodation. After check-in and a short rest, embark on a guided Kigali city tour. You'll visit key historical and cultural sites including the Kigali Genocide Memorial, local artisan markets, and the Kimironko market. After breakfast, depart Kigali and drive northwest to Musanze, the gateway to Volcanoes National Park. The drive offers scenic views of Rwanda’s rolling hills and rural life. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxed visit to the Iby’Iwacu Cultural Village where you’ll witness traditional dance, storytelling, and learn about Rwandan heritage from former poachers turned conservationists. This is the highlight of your safari. After an early breakfast, head to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing. You’ll be assigned a gorilla family to track based on your fitness level. The trek through the bamboo forests and mist-covered slopes can take from 1 to 5 hours. Once you encounter the gorillas, spend one magical hour observing them in their natural habitat. Return to the lodge for a late lunch and afternoon at leisure.
